pesky moon entertainment
(a haven for writers)
We are writers.
We make TV shows and movies.
We want to help you make TV shows and movies.
what we do
we collaborate. we consult. we cultivate.
COLLABORATING:
If you have an idea you’re passionate about, pitch it to us.
If it’s something we think we can add value to, we’ll talk next steps. Ideally, we’d pitch the idea together to studios, networks, streamers, and executives in Hollywood.
In a perfect world, we’d get to make this show, make money, and make people laugh. Yep, we believe we can do all three!
CONSULTING:
If you’ve got an idea, pitch , or script and you want professional support to make it better, stronger, funnier, and more sellable, we offer coaching packages or one-time sessions!
Haven’t written your pilot or screenplay yet? No problem! Try one of these:
pilot premise consultation ($650)
• Two 60 minute individual coaching sessions to make sure you have a rock-solid premise for your pilot/series.
• We’ll discuss your concept, your characters/their drives, the world of your show, and why you feel passionately about this idea.
• We’ll help you craft a vivid and punchy logline so you can easily and quickly pitch your idea to anyone.
pilot outline development package ($1450)
• Five 60 minute individual coaching sessions designed to have you walk away with a solid outline for your pilot episode.
• We’ll help you make sure you have a clear premise, and develop a strong central character with a sustainable drive, and an arc for growth.
• We’ll flesh out other characters and their relationships to make sure the world of your series is complete and full of conflicts that can be mined for future stories.
• We’ll help you break the story for your pilot episode so you can write an outline.
• We’ll review your outline and give you notes to help you get it in shape so you have a template to write your pilot script!
Already have a written draft of your script? Cool! We also offer:
pilot script partial analysis ($900)
• One 60 minute consultation with comprehensive developmental notes on the first 10 pages of your pilot script + a one-sheet overview of the entire idea.
• We’ll make sure you’re grabbing the readers attention, give our analysis of whether your premise is strong, and ensure your first 10 pages are delivering on that premise.
• We’ll provide suggestions on how to tighten the story, and shed light on how the rest of your script needs to develop in order for your idea to be fully realized.
pilot script full analysis ($2500)
• Two 60 minute consultations with comprehensive developmental notes to improve your script.
• This is the complete package! We will submerge ourselves in your entire script and spend considerable time thinking about how it can meet its highest potential.
• We’ll give our thorough analysis of your story structure and character development, pointing out what is and isn’t working.
• We’ll offer suggestions for how to elevate the pilot with stronger character motivations, and help you build a more dynamic world so the show has legs.
• We’ll discuss how to sharpen the dialogue so you can take your pilot to the next level.
• One 30 minute follow up call to discuss the changes you plan to implement in your next draft.
Don’t see what you’re looking for in these packages? We also offer one-hour coaching calls to discuss any aspect of your script or story you want to focus on. ($350 an hour)
about us
Pesky Moon Entertainment is a writer-centric incubator. We are on a mission to find writers who haven’t been found yet, in both comedy and drama, and help amplify their voices in television, film, and books. But don't be fooled into thinking we're a nonprofit. We work hard, we know the business, and we really want to sell stuff with you. We’ve been lucky enough to get to tell our stories - we want to help you tell yours.
Short version of who we are: Katya runs the ship, but Eric runs the shows. We’re funny, we’re fun, we know good stories, and we are good people. We’re also married (to each other.)
eric + katya
Eric Friedman has been writing for TV for 25 years. He is a two-time Emmy-nominated writer who recently served as Showrunner / Executive Producer for the Disney Channel live-action sitcom Bizaardvark. He created and executive produced the Disney XD puppet / live action hybrid sitcom Crash & Bernstein and just wrapped a 2 year overall Deal with Disney. Eric has numerous kids & family TV credits including School of Rock, Austin & Ally and Drake & Josh.
Eric has also written for a bunch of grown-up shows, including The Oblongs on the WB, Cheap Seats on ESPN, as well as Crank Yankers and Lil’ Bush, both on Comedy Central. He is an avid hiker, and overly avid eater of chocolate chip cookies (much to Katya’s chagrin.) He loves being in a Writer’s Room more than anywhere else, and has served as a volunteer mentor and board member for Young Storytellers.

Katya Lidsky (Friedman) is a story maven. She writes books, movies, essays, and lists. Here’s a list of things Katya likes more than lists:
1. Nothing.
Katya teaches story workshops for production companies, and recently sold a TV pilot to Disney. She is also a recovering actress. She wrote and performed "I'm Sorry," an acclaimed one-woman show that was accepted into the New York Fringe Festival and enjoyed two years of sold-out audiences in LA and NYC.
Katya went to New York University for undergrad (Tisch, represent!) and then got her masters at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. She is a Life Coach for Dog People, animal shelter volunteer, and Breathwork Facilitator (she likes to do breathwork before she writes.) For more on Katya, click here.
